New book spotlight: Promoting Access to Medical Technologies and Innovation

Added to the Matas library collection in December, Promoting Access to Medical Technologies and Innovation: Intersections between public health, intellectual property and trade is a study from the World Health Organization (WHO), World Trade Organization (WTO), and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

This study was prepared as a capacity-building resource for policy-makers. The contents mirror the evolution of multilateral policy debate over the past decade, recognizing that innovation and access are inevitably intertwined.

The contents of the study are broken up into four chapters:

1. Medical technologies: the fundamentals
2. The policy context for action on innovation and access
3. Medical technologies: the innovation dimension
4. Medical technologies: the access dimension

This book is currently on the new books rack in the Matas Commons area.

Filming in 1500 block of Canal Street

Hollywood Truck alert!

T5Productions, LLC will be filming 'VISTA'  on the Uptown side of the 1500 block of Canal between S. Villere and LaSalle Streets from today through March 31st  all day (6am - 11:59 pm). You may have already seen them and the associated NO PARKING  signs.

They will return on Monday-Wednesday, April 21-23; Tuesday-Wednesday, April 29-30; and again on Tuesday May 13 (weather permitting) to film interior and exterior scenes of 1500 Canal St. between 5 pm and 7:00 am.

Find out if you matched today!

T-4s find out today if they have matched with a program for their residency next year, and will find out where they matched on Friday. Match results will be released into the R3 system starting at 12pm Friday.

The Match Week Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program (SOAP) also starts today by releasing a list of unfilled programs. SOAP closes at 4pm Thursday.
