Due to the humanitarian disaster in Haiti, GIDEON (Global Infectious Disease and Epidemiology Network), an Infectious Diseases database, has launched a free E-book for health professionals interested in Haiti. You may read about the background here: THE INFECTIOUS DISEASES OF HAITI.

GIDEON, a point-of-care clinical decision support system provides a current, evidence-based resource for the diagnosis, treatment and teaching in the fields of Tropical & Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology and Microbiology in all countries. It is available by license to the Tulane communnity. The database helps clinicians overcome information overload and save time by providing quick diagnosis and access to a vast source of high-quality medical content.
