The Matas Library now has the Cochrane Library via Wiley InterScience.

The Cochrane Library is a collection of databases that contain high-quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making. Cochrane Reviews represent the highest level of evidence on which to base clinical treatment decisions. In addition to Cochrane Reviews, The Cochrane Library provides other sources of reliable information: other systematic reviews abstracts, technology assessments, economic evaluations, and individual clinical trials – all the current evidence in one single environment.

The Matas Library now has the Cochrane Library via Wiley InterScience. This new access platform gives more functionality to users and the reviews, protocols etc. are available in PDF format as well as HTML.

We have access to Cochrane Library as “ALL – EBM Reviews” via OVID, and that service is still running concurrently with the Wiley platform, but will END on December 31, 2009.

Please make the switch to a faster accessible Cochrane Library by using the Wiley Interscience platform at http://www.thecochranelibrary.com/ or from the library homepage at http://medlib.tulane.edu/ and select “The Cochrane Library”.
